Who this helps
Most of our quote requests come from people in one of these situations. If yours doesn’t fit neatly, that’s OK — describe what you’ve got and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Homeowners
Garage and basement cleanouts, furniture turnover, getting ready for a move or a remodel.
Renters
Move-out cleanups, single-item pickup, getting rid of a couch or mattress that can’t go in regular trash.
Landlords & property managers
Tenant turnovers, unit cleanouts between leases, clearing common areas and storage spaces.
Realtors & home sellers
Pre-listing cleanups, removing old furniture before staging, post-closing leftovers.
Small businesses
Office cleanouts, retail fixture removal, restaurant equipment, general commercial junk.
Estate situations
Family transitions where a property needs thoughtful, thorough clearing on a manageable timeline.
How we think about providers
We’re a small local site, not a marketplace. We’re selective about which provider gets a quote request, and we’re upfront about the basics we look for.
-
Properly licensed where required
Denver requires all solid waste haulers operating in the city to hold a current license, with insurance documentation and vehicle identification on file. We expect any partner working in Denver to be in good standing.
-
Real insurance
A current certificate of insurance is table stakes. Anyone driving a truck on residential property and carrying heavy items in and out of homes should be carrying liability coverage.
-
Responsive and clear about what they take
Slow or inconsistent communication is the most common complaint about junk removal. We expect providers to actually return calls and texts, and to be honest up front about items they cannot handle (hazardous materials, certain electronics, etc.).
-
Honest with quotes
Quotes should be based on the job described, with clear surcharges (refrigerant, heavy materials, stairs) called out before the truck shows up — not added at the end.
-
Willing to say "use the city instead"
If a job fits Denver’s free Large Item Pickup, free appliance program, or E-cycle coupon better than a paid pickup, we expect the provider to say so. We will, too.
We can’t guarantee any specific outcome with any specific provider — that’s between you and the company that responds. We’re telling you what we expect on our end before we share your details with anyone.
We’ll say it when it’s true
Use city pickup when it fits
The City and County of Denver runs several free or low-cost programs that genuinely cover a lot of jobs. If your job is one of those, you don’t need to pay anyone — including us, eventually.

E-cycle coupon

Live in Aurora?
Aurora works differently from Denver
The City of Aurora doesn’t run residential trash or recycling pickup — every household contracts with a permitted private hauler. There’s no Denver-style nine-week bulky pickup, and storage pods or dumpsters aren’t allowed on public streets. We wrote a separate guide for what that actually means when you have stuff to get rid of in Aurora.
Read the Aurora guideWhat affects junk removal pricing
Pricing depends on the volume of items (how much space they take in the truck), item type, how accessible they are (stairs, elevators, basement), whether disassembly is needed, and your timing. A clear description of your job — plus photos when the provider follows up — helps you get an accurate estimate before anyone shows up. See typical Denver-area price ranges →
Denver and nearby areas
We help route requests in Denver and nearby metro areas including Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Englewood, Littleton, Centennial, and Commerce City. Provider availability in all areas is not guaranteed — the provider who responds to your request will confirm whether they can serve your location. See the full service area →
